Job summary

WAHVE is seeking a seasoned Pricing Actuary to join our remote, long‑term team and help carrier clients price risk for Property & Casualty products.

We expect 25 years of full‑time actuarial experience with at least 10 recent years in pricing, a bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field, and proficiency in predictive modeling. ACAS/FCAS preferred but not required. Flexible full‑ or part‑time schedules available.

Qualifications

• 25 years of full-time actuarial work experience.
• 10 most current years of actuarial insurance experience with significant pricing experience in P&C.
• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, economics, statistics, or related major.
• Proficiency in predictive modeling and machine learning techniques.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine pricing models to assess risk and profitability for various Property & Casualty insurance products.
• Monitor and analyze datasets of existing products, including experience and exposure rating, adjusting pricing models as needed.
• Collaborate with Underwriting, Finance, Reserving and Claims to support adequate pricing and profitable growth strategies.
• Support the development and filing of rate changes with regulatory bodies.
• Extract and manipulate data in relational databases: SAS, SQL, VBA, R, Prophet, Python or similar.
