Job summary

Odyssey Entertainment Group in Nashville, TN seeks an Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day bookkeeping, payroll accounting, and talent payouts. You will supervise the Accounting Coordinator, manage month-end close, reconciliations, and reporting, and coordinate with leadership on financial strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent industry experience.
• 4–6 years of accounting experience including bookkeeping, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Experience supervising or managing a direct report.
• Familiarity with commission-based accounting for talent or agencies is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting workflows, deadlines, and internal procedures across the team.
• Direct and review the Accounting Coordinator's work to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Set the standard for accuracy and timeliness across internal accounting processes.
• Escalate complex accounting, reporting, tax, or financial matters as appropriate.
• Own transaction coding and monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Maintain supporting schedules and ensure day-to-day books are accurate and up to date.
• Flag and resolve discrepancies before month-end surprises.
