Job summary

Western National Parks is seeking an Accounting Manager Revenue & Receivables in Tucson, AZ. The role oversees AR processes, revenue recognition, and related controls within a nonprofit environment, supervising 1–2 staff and reporting to the Associate Director of Finance.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of nonprofit accounting experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and experience managing high-volume transactions across multiple revenue streams. This is a full-time hybrid/remote position in Tucson.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, Public or Business Administration or closely related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• At least 2-3 years of experience in non-profit accounting.
• At least 2-3 years of experience with Ecommerce and traditional retail sales operations reporting.
• At least 2-3 years of experience with high-volume bank and credit card activity.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Accounting Clerk and Accounting Assistant; provide training and guidance as needed.
• Review monthly area sales entries for all store locations; ensure revenue is booked correctly by location and department.
• Post accounts receivable payments from various sources including wholesale, philanthropy, and development constituents.
• Track board donations, restricted donations, grant and fiduciary fund usage and balances.
• Record and recognize deferred revenue; reconcile wholesale and eCommerce revenue and receipts; provide monthly reports to Warehouse Manager.
• Reconcile credit card payouts for all store locations; post month-end journal entries; assist with monthly GL reconciliations; submit PCI compliance reporting.
