Job summary

Veta Virtual is seeking an Accounting Manager to own the full accounting cycle for roofing operations in a fully remote, fast-paced environment. You will manage close processes, leading financial reporting and job costing across federal projects, with a hands-on approach and strong internal control focus.

Preferred candidates have 6+ years of US-based accounting experience, CPA or equivalent, and proficiency with QuickBooks Online and integration of external tools.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of US-based full-cycle accounting experience with CPA or equivalent.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge and ability to coordinate with external CPA firm.
• Experience in construction or project-based accounting a plus.
• Proven ability to manage external stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Experience with job costing across multiple active projects.

Responsibilities

• Own the full accounting cycle for roofing operations, including close and financial reporting.
• Deliver monthly P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow to leadership.
• Oversee job costing and WIP schedules across active projects.
• Own percentage-of-completion revenue recognition and progress billing.
• Lead integration of tools with QuickBooks Online.
• Oversee AP, expense management, subcontractor payments, and vendor interactions.
• Prepare books for external CPA firm for annual tax filing.
• Forecast tax and cash impact of major decisions.
• Coach accounting staff as the team grows.
