• Supervise 1 staff and ensure GAAP compliance.

This is a small firm with an accounting team of two that is experiencing great growth. A history of small company GL accounting work and reinsurance is ideal. Remote role, but ideally the candidate is within driving distance for occasional travel.

Responsibilities:

• Month/Year End
• Full cycle Accounts Payable
• Accounts Receivable
• Potential supervision of 1 staff
• GL Maintenance
• Journal Entries
• Reconciliations
• Understanding of recurring revenue recognition and future reserve claims/losses
• Ensure GAAP compliance
• Assist with tax filing with CPA firm

Requirements:

• Bachelors in accounting
• 4+ years GL accounting experience, preferably in insurance/captive/reinsurance
• CPA preferred
• 401(k) with match
• PTO
• Annual discretionary bonus around 10%
• Remote with occasional travel
