Job summary

Caliber Fitness is seeking a detail oriented Remote Accounting Associate to support daily accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and assist with financial reporting. This fully remote, full-time role is suited for someone with 2–5 years of accounting experience who can manage transactions, reconcile accounts, process invoices, and maintain reliable documentation.

• Two to five years of accounting experience (A/P, A/R, or related finance role).
• Degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field preferred. Relevant professional experience may be considered.
• Working knowledge of accounting principles, financial documentation, reconciliations, and transaction processing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets and familiarity with accounting software or cloud based financial systems.
• Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, organizational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, sound judgment, and a commitment to confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, collaborate effectively with colleagues, and meet deadlines consistently.
• Reliable internet access and a suitable workspace for handling confidential business information.

Responsibilities

• Record and maintain accurate financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, expenses, and general ledger entries.
• Review invoices, receipts, payment requests, and supporting documents for accuracy, completeness, and proper authorization.
• Assist with bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and the investigation of discrepancies.
• Support monthly and quarterly closing activities by preparing schedules, organizing financial documentation, and verifying account balances.
• Monitor outstanding invoices and assist with payment tracking, account follow up, and documentation of financial activities.
• Maintain organized digital accounting records and ensure financial information is properly classified and accessible to authorized personnel.
• Assist in preparing financial reports, spreadsheets, summaries, and supporting schedules for management review
• Help maintain accounting procedures and internal controls while identifying opportunities to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Collaborate with finance colleagues and other departments to resolve accounting questions and obtain missing documentation.
• Handle confidential financial information responsibly and complete assigned tasks within established deadlines.

The Role

Caliber Fitness is seeking a detail oriented and organized Remote Accounting Associate to support daily accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and assist with financial reporting. What You Will Do
