Insurance Office of America seeks an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to manage a book of business, retain clients, and support new business. Hybrid work option available with 1 day onsite in NY or fully remote for ET/CT time zones.

Responsibilities include policy administration, renewals, claims support, billing, and data accuracy across agency systems. Licensing in P&C is required; CIC is a plus. Strong client service and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
• Active property & casualty licensing; CIC or equivalent preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• High School Diploma (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring retention and support new business.
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities.
• Handle policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Renewals: research, submissions, and negotiate coverages; present proposals.
• Monitor accounts receivable and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
• Ensure data accuracy and timely completion of activities.
• Communicate workload status and issues to the account team.
• Deliver excellent service and proactively meet client needs.
• Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
• Seek best practices to improve performance.
