Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to manage an assigned book of business, drive retention, and support new business. You will coordinate day-to-day activities, resolve complex issues, and maintain data accuracy across agency systems.

The role requires 3+ years of account management or 5+ years in insurance, active P&C licensing, and strong collaboration with the IOA Charleston team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of account management experience.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
• Active licensing; CIC or equivalent preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise.
• Direct daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
• Ensure timely completion of activities.
• Communicate workload status and issues to the account team.
• Deliver excellent service and proactively meet needs.
