Job summary

Insurance Office of America (IOA) is seeking an Account Manager for Commercial Lines. You will manage an assigned book of business, retain clients, support new business, and coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities to resolve complex issues.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in account management or 5+ years in insurance, active P&C license, and strong analytical, communication, and MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Active P&C license is required.
• 3+ years of account management, or 5+ years in insurance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• High School Diploma or equivalent; CIC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise.
• Direct daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
• Monitor activity/suspense to ensure timely completion.
• Communicate workload status and issues with the team.
• Deliver service excellence and anticipate client needs.
• Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
• Seek best practices to improve performance.
• Demonstrate integrity and leadership in IOA values.
