In Medtronic’s Surgical Innovations (SI) portfolio, we're committed to forging new paths and partnerships that improve clinical outcomes, expand access to care, and optimize operational efficiencies. The SI Remote Sales representative sells Medtronic’s Surgical Portfolio products remotely and retains end-user patients within an assigned geographic area and/or specific customer accounts in this office-based role.

The Account Manager is responsible for meeting and exceeding sales goals by advancing the Surgical product line using solution-based concept selling skills in the US Acute and Alternate Site marketplace. They work as part of an integrated team with internal Sales Associates, Clinical Specialists, Regional Managers, and Directors to accelerate growth and ensure a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities include:
  • Remotely sell Medtronic's SI Portfolio products and retain end-user customers within an assigned territory to achieve or exceed sales goals.
  • Create and execute a SMART Territory Sales Plan to generate and close opportunities.
  • Master features, benefits, and value of products; present these to clinical and economic stakeholders using appropriate sales methodologies.
  • Present proposals, negotiate pricing, and differentiate Medtronic products.
  • Educate clinical and non-clinical contacts on product applications and functionality.
  • Build consultative relationships with clinicians, supply chain partners, and end users; maintain active presence at top accounts.
  • Utilize technology platforms and data to analyze territory and target accounts effectively.
  • Manage sales pipeline via SFDC Platform.
  • Meet or exceed sales activity metrics set by management.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and healthcare economics.
  • Provide input on new markets and product introductions.
  • Travel up to 25% as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 2+ years of documented sales success or equivalent experience, preferably with tangible products.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in healthcare sales, medical devices, surgical sales, or pharmaceuticals.
  • Strong knowledge of sales techniques and relationship building.
  • Ability to work independently and drive results.
  • Degree in biological sciences or business preferred.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Comfort with technology and applications like iPad, Salesforce, SAP.
  • Experience in hospital, cath lab, or physician settings.
  • Experience selling complex products via phone, email, and virtual platforms.

Benefits & Compensation

Medtronic offers a competitive salary and flexible benefits, including health, dental, vision, savings accounts, insurance, tuition reimbursement, and more. Salary ranges for U.S. locations (excluding PR): $50,000 - $55,000.

Additional benefits include incentive plans, 401(k), paid time off, holidays, stock purchase plans, and employee assistance programs.
