Job summary

Beacon Biosignals seeks a scientifically credentialed, relationship-driven Academic Partnerships Director to grow adoption of the Beacon Platform within academic and research institutions. You will build and manage relationships with PIs, academic medical centers, core facilities, and consortia funded through NIH, NSF, and foundations.

Qualifications

• MD with training in psychiatry or neurology or PhD in neuroscience
• Experience in academic partnerships, alliance management, or grant-funded research environments
• Familiarity with NIH/NSF/foundation grant cycles and proposal development
• Ability to translate scientific concepts into actionable plans for teams
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
• Experience with CRM and account management in scientific domains
• Willingness to travel 1-3 times per quarter to conferences/site visits

Responsibilities

• Build and manage relationships with PIs, academic medical centers, core facilities and research consortia funded by NIH, NSF, foundations or grants
• Lead proposal development and support scientific narratives for grant applications
• Own account-level pipeline generation and closing for academic partnerships and grant-funded opportunities
• Represent Beacon at academic conferences and build networks with grants offices and technology transfer offices
• Collaborate with Program Management, Clinical Operations, Marketing and Scientific teams to scope and deliver partnerships
• Provide leadership visibility into pipeline health and win/loss patterns
• Develop and evolve the academic strategy and pricing aligned to partner priorities
