McGraw Hill is seeking Academic Designers to assemble high-quality literacy content for PreK-K programs, collaborating with design teams and Product Managers to shape solution design and implementation. The role emphasizes foundational literacy skills and strong content standards.

The position is remote within the United States, with emphasis on creating print, digital, and media materials that meet CCS, CA CCS, and state standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in elementary education, literacy, linguistics, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in literacy curriculum development and educational publishing with a focus on Grades PreK-K
• Knowledge of CCSS, CA CCSS, B.E.S.T., and TEKS standards
• Strong English language spelling, writing, and grammar skills
• Familiarity with digital learning and authoring systems
• Proficiency with MS Office and PDF tools
• Experience with accessible content is a plus

Responsibilities

• Plan and develop content for teacher and student materials across print, digital, and media formats
• Develop prototypes, exemplars, guidelines, and project scope documentation
• Coordinate with vendors, internal engineering, and Academic Design teams
• Demonstrate understanding of foundational literacy skills and decodability
• Produce high-quality content meeting curriculum standards and project scope
• Provide feedback to colleagues and vendors, identifying risks and proposing improvements
• Stay updated on literacy trends, technology, and research
