Job summary

American Marketing Association is seeking an Academic Communities Intern to support member engagement across SIGs, manage events, and assist volunteer leaders. This fully remote internship runs January 19, 2027 to April 9, 2027, with a pay of $18.00 per hour and a maximum of 24 hours per week.

You will help organize conferences, maintain SIG webpages, support budgets, handle inquiries, and assist senior editors with conference proceedings.

Qualifications

• Must live in the listed states and be eligible to work in the U.S.
• Enrolled at a 2- or 4-year college/university
• Strong customer service or volunteer management experience
• Experience with Google Suite

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage SIG webpages.
• Assist with SIG budget and payments, including payments, reimbursements, and invoices.
• Support planning and logistics for the 2027 Winter Academic, Virtual Winter Academic, Summer Academic, and Marketing and Public Policy conferences.
• Respond to attendee inquiries alongside the Manager, Academic Communities, and Customer Support team.
• Help execute Conference and SIG awards processes.
• Assist the Senior Copy Editor with conference proceedings administration.
