New York Life Group Benefit Solutions is seeking an Integrated Absence Manager to handle a caseload of paid/unpaid leave and short-term disability cases. You will investigate, determine eligibility, administer absences, and communicate decisions to customers and clients.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience administering Disability strongly preferred.
• Experience administering FMLA and/or State Leaves strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel).
• Ability to understand complex absence scenarios and apply them to work.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of Absence cases including STD, PFML, FMLA, CPL, and ADA.
• Verify eligibility, capture medical information, apply contractual provisions, and ensure compliant decisions.
• Coordinate multiple leave and disability plans using integrated technology.
• Communicate decisions and status updates with claimants, employers, and medical professionals.
• Document notes in the system and support return-to-work processes.
