Job summary

Complete Logistical Services is seeking an Able Bodied Seaman (AB) for a contract/temporary position with the option to work fully remotely. You will stand navigational watches, perform deck maintenance, and assist with cargo handling while ensuring compliance with USCG regulations.

The role requires MMC, OICEW endorsement, VPDSD, and multiple safety certifications. A hands-on approach to vessel maintenance and emergency readiness is essential.

Qualifications

• MMC with current dates and valid U.S. Coast Guard credentials.
• 2nd or 3rd Assistant Engineer - Unlimited rating with OICEW endorsement.
• USCG Medical Certificate with National and STCW dates.
• Water Survival certification (T-HUET/FOET/BOSIET).
• Rigging certification (API-RP-2D).
• Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
• Safegulf or Rigpass certification.

Responsibilities

• Stand navigational watches and maintain a proper lookout while underway.
• Perform deck maintenance and vessel preservation tasks.
• Handle mooring lines during docking, undocking, and towing operations.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and securing cargo and equipment.
• Operate deck equipment such as cranes, winches, capstans, windlasses, and hydraulic systems.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance of lifesaving and firefighting equipment.
• Participate in emergency drills and respond to emergencies, including man overboard, fire, and abandon ship situations.
• Follow all company safety policies, environmental regulations, and Safe Work Practices.

Education

Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC)

Officer in Charge of an Engineering Watch (OICEW) endorsement

Water Survival certification (T-HUET/FOET/BOSIET)

Vessel Personnel with Designated Security Duties (VPDSD)

USCG Medical Certificate
