Job summary

Mercor is seeking an experienced A/R Follow-up Manager for a remote contract role in the United States. The position focuses on leading follow-up operations across commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care payers, with emphasis on accuracy and timely resolutions.

The role requires deep knowledge of payer workflows, EDI transactions, and strong English communication. Experience with AI-assisted A/R content is a plus, and a certification such as CRCR, CPC, or CHFP is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in A/R follow-up or revenue cycle with management experience.
• Deep knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer processes.
• Proficiency with billing systems and EDI 276/277 transactions.

Responsibilities

• Lead A/R follow-up operations across commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care payers.
• Evaluate AI-generated A/R recommendations and payer correspondence drafts for accuracy.
• Manage claim status follow-up workflows, including EDI, payer portals, and phone resolution.
• Prioritize A/R queues by aging, payer, and dollar value to maximize revenue recovery.
• Annotate AI outputs and provide feedback to support AI training datasets.
