Job summary

Benetrends Financial is seeking a Retirement Plan Analyst to join our team. This fully remote role requires residence in a covered state and focuses on administering and ensuring compliance for client retirement plans while delivering exceptional service to participants.

You will partner with plan sponsors, handle day-to-day plan activities, and support annual compliance with Form 5500 deadlines in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in 401(k) plan administration and retirement plan compliance.
• Working knowledge of IRS and ERISA regulations.
• Exceptional customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• ASPPA credentials (or a desire to pursue professional certifications) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for assigned retirement plan clients.
• Manage day-to-day plan administration activities including contributions, participant loans, distributions, hardship withdrawals, and QDRO processing.
• Perform compliance testing, including ADP/ACP and 402(g) testing.
• Support Form 5500 preparation and plan deadlines.
• Research and resolve operational and compliance issues.
• Maintain accurate workflow management and documentation in Pension Pro.
• Explain retirement plan regulations and complex concepts clearly to clients.
• Deliver exceptional service that builds long‑term client relationships.
