Job summary

Guidant Financial is seeking a Retirement Plan Operations Specialist to work remotely across select US states. You will learn the full 401(k) administration process, reviewing client submissions, and performing testing and reporting with our software.

You will guide clients through the year-end filings and 5500 processes, growing quickly through training and hands-on tasks. Ideal candidates have 1–5 years in back-office financial operations and proficiency with Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field such as business or finance, or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients to obtain necessary information to prepare the annual reporting
• Review documents submitted by clients for completeness and accuracy
• Reconcile plans with only rollovers and plan stock using Excel and administration software
• Utilize administration software to complete 401(k) testing and reporting
• Make outgoing reminder calls and send emails to clients during the plan year reporting process
• Prepare required 401(k) plan government filings, including the IRS Form 5500, using filing software
• Educate clients regarding the administration of their 401(k) plan and 401(k) plan documents
