Guidant Financial is seeking a Retirement Plan Operations Specialist for a fully remote role. You will learn the full process of administering, testing and reporting on 401(k) plans while supporting clients nationwide.

The role emphasizes accelerated training and hands-on growth as you move from document review to administering basic plans, including year-end filings such as the Form 5500. Strong Excel skills and back-office experience are valued.

Qualifications

Experience with document review and transaction processing as daily responsibilities.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Associate's or bachelor's degree in business or finance, or equivalent work experience, is preferred.
Direct retirement-plan operations experience, including 401(k) or IRA administration, recordkeeping, distributions and rollovers, compliance testing, or 5500 or year-end reporting, is preferred.

Responsibilities

Work with clients to obtain information to prepare annual reporting.
Review documents submitted by clients for completeness and accuracy.
Reconcile plans with only rollovers and plan stock using Excel and administration software.
Make outgoing reminder calls and send emails to clients during the plan year reporting process.
Prepare required 401(k) plan government filings, including the IRS Form 5500.
Educate clients regarding the administration of their 401(k) plan.
