Job summary

Pathways Vermont is seeking a Remote Vermont Support Line Operator to provide confidential, nonjudgmental peer support to Vermonters 24/7. This full-time role requires residing in Vermont and offers a Saturday–Wednesday night schedule (11p–7a).

You will respond to callers and texters, document data, and collaborate with supervision while advancing CPSP and ongoing training. Strong interpersonal skills and lived experience with mental health challenges are essential.

Qualifications

• Must live and work in Vermont.
• Attend 1 team meeting monthly and 1 supervision weekly.
• Direct lived experience of what is commonly referred to as a mental health challenge or crisis, and willingness to share when appropriate.
• Ability to meet the CPSP requirements with The Copeland Center.
• Willingness to share one’s life experiences with intentionality and thoughtfulness.
• Commitment to providing quality peer support and alignment with peer values/ethics.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide confidential peer support using person-centered approaches.
• Respond to callers and texters via phone or text in a timely manner.
• Communicate via email, chat, and text with co-workers and supervisors.
• Complete accurate data collection after each call.
• Communicate programmatic expectations to callers and texters.
• Assist callers in crisis and refer to appropriate resources.
• Adhere to policies and emergency on-call protocols.
• Attend mandatory meetings and training and complete CPSP process.
