Job summary

Pathways Vermont is seeking a VSL Operator for a full-time, third shift remote role. The technician provides confidential peer support to Vermonters aged 18+, operating 11pm–7am Saturday through Wednesday, from a home setup in Vermont.

Strong collaboration with a CPSP pathway and ongoing training are expected. The role requires living in Vermont, attending monthly meetings and weekly supervision, and delivering compassionate, nonjudgmental support via phone, chat, text, and email.

Qualifications

• Must live and work in Vermont.
• Direct lived experience of what is commonly referred to as a mental health challenge or crisis, and a willingness to share when appropriate.
• Ability to attend 1 team meeting monthly and 1 supervision weekly.
• Ability to complete CPSP process with The Copeland Center.

Responsibilities

• Provide confidential peer support utilizing choice-based, person-centered approaches.
• Respond to callers and texters via phone or text.
• Communicate via email, chat, and text with coworkers and supervisors.
• Complete accurate data collection after each call.
• Negotiate adversity and challenging conversations with callers.
• Assist callers in crisis and refer them to appropriate resources.
• Adhere to policies, procedures, and emergency/on-call protocols.
• Attend mandatory meetings and trainings; participate in All Staff retreats.
