Job summary

Carillon Senior Living in Lubbock, TX is seeking an experienced Renovation Technician to join our Health Center team. You will perform carpentry, drywall, painting, and related renovations to maintain unit quality and resident comfort.

The role offers an hourly wage of $16–$18.50 and a Monday–Friday 8am–5pm schedule. We provide comprehensive benefits, ongoing training, and opportunities for career advancement within a supportive community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Some technical schooling or background preferred.
• Minimum of one year experience in construction, maintenance, or similar.
• Ability to read blueprints and diagrams.
• Able to operate hand and power tools and lift equipment.

Responsibilities

• Remodel and unit turnover tasks as assigned by supervisor.
• Assist with apartment turnover and unit renovations.
• Support demolition, framing, trim, hauling, and general jobsite tasks.
• Operate company truck for transport of workers and materials.
• Perform carpentry, drywall, tape bedding, painting, and related duties.
• Complete work orders daily per policy and safety rules.
• Maintain tools and supplies; work safely and responsibly.

Who You Are

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
• Have some Technical Schooling and/or background preferred
• Minimum of one-year experience building construction, maintenance, or general labor services
• Knowledge of equipment used in construction or other related work
• Skilled in establishing and maintaining good working relationships with others
• Able to learn simple tasks
• Able to operate hand and power tools
• Able to lift and carry equipment or materials applicable to the assigned work
• Able to understand oral and written instructions
• Able to read and follow blueprints and diagrams

Summary

The Renovation Technician is responsible for maintaining all aspects of the renovations department. Conducting under supervisor direction, construction-related tasks such as carpentry, drywall installation, tape bedding, texturing, painting, and form setting.

Essential Job Duties

• Remodel / Unit Turnover
• Assists with apartment turnover.
• Supports unit renovations through demo, framing, minor repairs, trim work, hauling/cleanup, and general jobsite assistance.
• May operate company truck for the purpose of transporting workers, construction materials, and light equipment
• Performs general maintenance duties, such as: carpentry, drywall installation, tape bedding, texturing, painting, and form setting
• Completes assigned work orders daily according to work order system policy
• Performs minor building and equipment repairs
• Maintains all tools, equipment and supplies in proper condition
• Accomplishes work in the order of priority set by supervisor
• Assists, during winter, with snow removal efforts
• Performs daily tasks in a safe and workman-like manner in accordance with company policies
• Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
