Job summary

Carillon Senior Living in West Texas is seeking a Renovation Technician to join the health center team. The role involves carpentry, drywall, tape bedding, texturing, painting, and related tasks under supervision. Experience in construction and the ability to read blueprints are preferred.

The position offers hourly pay from $16 to $18.50 plus comprehensive benefits and a supportive work environment within a senior living community.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Some technical schooling/background preferred.
• Minimum of one year experience in construction, maintenance, or general labor services.
• Able to operate hand and power tools and read blueprints/diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Remodel or unit turnover and assist with apartment turnover.
• Support unit renovations via demolition, framing, minor repairs, trim work, hauling/cleanup, and site assistance.
• Possibly operate company truck to transport workers and materials.
• Perform carpentry, drywall, painting, and related tasks as directed by supervisor.
• Complete daily work orders and maintain tools and materials.

Who you are:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
• Have some Technical Schooling and/or background preferred
• Minimum of one-year experience building construction, maintenance, or general labor services
• Knowledge of equipment used in construction or other related work
• Skilled in establishing and maintaining good working relationships with others
• Able to learn simple tasks
• Able to operate hand and power tools
• Able to lift and carry equipment or materials applicable to the assigned work
• Able to understand oral and written instructions
• Able to read and follow blueprints and diagrams

Summary:

The Renovation Technician is responsible for maintaining all aspects of the renovations department. Conducting under supervisor direction, construction-related tasks such as carpentry, drywall installation, tape bedding, texturing, painting, and form setting.

Essential Job Duties:

• Remodel / Unit Turnover
• Assists with apartment turnover.
• Supports unit renovations through demo, framing, minor repairs, trim work, hauling/cleanup, and general jobsite assistance.
• May operate company truck for the purpose of transporting workers, construction materials, and light equipment
• Performs general maintenance duties, such as: carpentry, drywall installation, tape bedding, texturing, painting, and form setting
• Completes assigned work orders daily according to work order system policy
• Performs minor building and equipment repairs
• Maintains all tools, equipment and supplies in proper condition
• Accomplishes work in the order of priority set by supervisor
• Assists, during winter, with snow removal efforts
• Performs daily tasks in a safe and workman-like manner in accordance with company policies
• Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
