Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic math and measurement tasks.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a physically demanding environment.
• Ability to lift up to 49 pounds occasionally and up to 20 pounds continuously.
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures, loud environments, and around moving machinery.

Responsibilities

• Operate furnaces used to melt and refine metal prior to casting.
• Drain, transfer, and pour molten metal into molds using appropriate equipment.
• Monitor furnace temperatures, gauges, and metal conditions to maintain specifications.
• Inspect furnaces and equipment to identify defects, wear, or operational issues.
• Remove impurities from molten metal and collect samples for analysis.
• Follow all environmental, health, safety, and quality procedures.
• Assist with additional production duties as assigned.
