Job summary

New York Air Brake Corp. in Springfield, MO is seeking a Remanufacturing Technician to support the remanufacturing of heavy-haul brake components. You will perform disassembly, cleaning, inspection, and reassembly of parts to meet quality standards in a fast-paced shop environment.

The role operates Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, offering a wage of $19 per hour. The technician will work under the Production Supervisor and follow safety and quality procedures to ensure reliable,

Qualifications

• Basic disassembly, washing, and assembly of parts.
• Identify serviceable vs. non serviceable parts.
• Operation of semi-automatic equipment i.e. pedestal buffers, hand buffers, wash machines, ultra-sonic washers.
• Handle parts, tools in a safe manner.
• Proper use of power and manual tools. i.e. impact wrenches, drills, EZ Outs, hand tools.
• Understand and comply with all quality and safety rules, guidelines, policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

The employee will be exposed to shop floor conditions, i.e. noise, heat, cold, dust/dirt etc. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
