Job summary

Avanti Residential is seeking a Service Technician in Steamboat Springs, CO to maintain a mountain-town property and prepare units for move-ins. The role includes handling work orders (electrical, plumbing, HVAC), appliance repairs, inspections, and after-hours emergencies.

Requirements include 1+ year experience and a valid driver’s license. EPA Type II/Universal Certification preferred; Wonderlic assessment is part of the process. Excellent benefits and relocation housing discount are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1+ years of relevant experience required.
• EPA Type II or Universal Certification preferred
• CAMT certification preferred but not required
• CPO certification preferred for properties where applicable based on local regulations and property-specific operational requirements.
• Written, verbal, and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of facilities management and mechanical equipment.
• Pass criminal background screening prior to employment.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and up-to-date vehicle insurance is required.
• If minimum qualifications are met during resume screening the Wonderlic pre-employment assessment is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare units for move-ins with electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, and painting repairs.
• Aware of the condition of the property at all times and take immediate steps to correct unsafe conditions, including reporting any safety concerns.
• Complete work orders within 24 hours as directed by the Community Manager and/or Service Manager.
• Responsible for 24-hour emergency maintenance and on-call responsibilities.
• Complete grounds pick up, sweeping, and light landscaping such as mulch and sprinkler head replacements when possible.
