Job summary

Mt Olive Pickles seeks an experienced Process Maintenance Technician to support high-volume relish production. You will ensure equipment reliability, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering to maintain safety and efficiency.

The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, hands-on troubleshooting, and ability to operate under established procedures while keeping a clean, safe, and productive work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of hands-on mechanical work in manufacturing or maintenance.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and use precision measurement tools.
• Troubleshoot equipment and processes independently with strong analytical skills.
• Trades training is a plus; relevant maintenance credentials preferred.
• Clear verbal and written communication for reporting and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with cutting department to ensure correct product and quantity for shift production.
• Coordinate with Blender Operator to set up and operate blenders and heat exchanger following formula.
• Prepare, start up, operate, and shut down production equipment per procedures.
• Observe production parameters, identify deviations, and adjust to maintain quality and throughput.
• Assist Operators and Maintenance to maximize production and repair relish line equipment.
• Monitor food safety and quality limits and ensure compliance; coverage by trained staff as needed.
• Monitor production run and report problems to Supervisor.
• Assist in training new personnel for assigned duties.
• Keep work area clean and orderly; follow safety rules and policies.
• When relish line is idle, perform other duties such as Syrup Maker and Machine Operator/Mechanic.
