Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring a Relief Veterinary Technician to join a fast-paced emergency and specialty team in the United States. The role requires flexibility to work nights and weekends and holidays, with a competency leveling system guiding advancement.

You will perform triage, obtain histories, and assist in high-level care for critically ill patients. You will place IV/Central lines, assist with ventilator cases and work alongside skilled technicians to deliver advanced medicine.

Qualifications

• Full-time position requiring night/weekend/holiday flexibility.
• Experience in veterinary patient care preferred.
• Ability to mentor and train other staff.

Responsibilities

• Triage and obtain patient history.
• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.
• Place IV catheters and advanced catheters like Jugular catheters, Central Lines or PICC lines.
• Monitor and care for ventilator cases.
• Work with other skilled technicians and assistants to provide advanced medicine.
• Mentor coworkers and contribute to training.
• Reunite pets with their owners and provide compassionate care.

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 / hour
This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through our competency leveling system.

As aVeterinary Technician, you will:

• Triage and obtain patient history
• Identifypatients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR

• Monitor and care for Ventilator Cases
