Job summary

Ayrshire Independent Living Network (AILN) seeks a caring Personal Assistant to provide temporary sickness cover for a gentleman with learning disabilities in Irvine. The role involves supporting activities, independence, and social engagement in the local community.

Hours are 18 per week with additional casual cover; driving licence and PVG check are essential, along with references. You will join a small team dedicated to wellbeing, health and active living.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Friendly, positive, patient, flexible and reliable with good communication skills.
• Two up-to-date references and PVG scheme membership required.

Responsibilities

• Provide temporary personal assistance and relief support to a gentleman with learning disabilities.
• Encourage participation in community activities while promoting independence and inclusion.
• Offer companionship, assist with daily activities, and monitor health and safety.
