Job summary

Hillsdale Local School District is seeking a Relief Bus Driver to cover absences and ensure reliable student transportation. You will operate the assigned bus routes during morning and afternoon shifts and uphold district safety standards.

The role requires CDL with endorsements, a clean driving record, and successful completion of required training and background checks. Full health benefits are provided under district policies.

Qualifications

• CDL with required endorsements as per district regulations.
• Maintain an acceptable driving record and timely reporting of issues.
• Complete district-required school bus driver training and safety procedures.
• Meet all state and district physical and safety requirements.
• Successfully complete required criminal background checks and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and other locations.
• Drive assigned routes when the regular driver is absent.
• Maintain student behavior and enforce bus safety rules.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Keep bus clean and report safety concerns to supervisor or administration.
• Comply with district transportation policies and applicable regulations.
• Demonstrate professional interactions with students, families, staff, and community.
