Job summary

Old Dutch Foods seeks a dependable Relief Route Sales Representative to support multiple sales routes in Des Moines. You will deliver, stock, rotate products, and build strong relationships with store personnel to sustain high sales.

Travel to cover varying routes as needed, work with over 150 product types, and participate in trainings for new products and promotions while ensuring top-notch customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain DOT medical certification.
• Previous full-time work experience (retail grocery, direct store delivery, or truck driving preferred).
• Strong math, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new routes, products, and schedules.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs., pushing/pulling carts up to 150 lbs., and working in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Order, deliver, stock, and rotate products according to company standards.
• Set up and maintain visually appealing product displays.
• Manage schedules to meet customer needs across multiple territories.
• Build relationships with store personnel and decision-makers to generate additional sales.
• Operate and maintain a route truck, load/unload products, and keep equipment clean and organized.
• Complete all paperwork accurately, neatly, and on time.
• Participate in meetings and trainings for new products and promotions.
