Job summary

Qualifications

• Pharmacist degree required (BS Pharm or PharmD) with active licensure.
• Immunization certification preferred; state regulatory knowledge expected.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy systems and internal policies.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members and leadership.
• Oversee pharmacy operations in absence of the pharmacist in charge.
• Educate and mentor pharmacy technicians to be effective team members.
• Motivate team members to perform at a high level.
• Ensure compliance with Meijer policies and state/federal laws.
• Communicate effectively and act as an agent of change.
• Prioritize workload with excellent organizational skills.
• Listen to patients and address needs, delivering strong customer service.
• Perform and oversee clinical services, including immunizations.

Education

Bachelor of Science Degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy

Registered and licensed in the state of practice

Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana) Retail/Community Practice

Working knowledge of pharmacy system, policies & procedures, regulatory understanding
