Job summary

Meijer in Michigan is seeking a Pharmacist to fill prescriptions safely and manage daily pharmacy operations in a retail setting.

You will supervise technicians, educate team members, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide immunization services where allowed. A PharmD or PharmD-equivalent license and Michigan licensure are required, along with immunization certification. Meijer offers weekly pay and multiple development benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy required.
• Registered and licensed in the state of practice.
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana) Retail/Community Practice.
• Working knowledge of pharmacy system and policies; understanding of state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members and leadership.
• Hold pharmacy technicians accountable and help grow the business.
• Educate and mentor technicians to be effective team members.
• Motivate team to perform to their highest level.
• Ensure compliance with Meijer policies and state/federal laws.
• Communicate effectively and act as agent of change.
• Prioritize workload with excellent organizational skills.
• Listen to patients and resolve needs; deliver good customer service.
• In absence of the pharmacist in charge, oversee pharmacy operations.
• Perform and oversee (where allowed) clinical services, including immunizations.
