BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking Licensed Veterinary Technicians to support our inpatient overnight team. Overnight shifts are Tue–Fri, 7p–8a, with pay $26.00–$33.00/hour plus shift differential.

Candidates with VTS credentialing are eligible for compensation commensurate with experience. This role offers opportunities to expand skills while working with highly skilled veterinary professionals.

Qualifications

• Licensed Veterinary Technician with current credential.
• Experience with anesthesia monitoring.
• Experience with radiography.
• Ability to triage emergency cases.
• CPR knowledge and response.

Responsibilities

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia in patients using monitoring equipment.
• Triage emergency cases and monitor vitals (temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, blood pressure).
• Perform digital radiography with proper technique and patient positioning.

BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring Licensed Veterinary Technicians to help provide relief support to our inpatient overnight team.

Schedule:

Our available overnight shifts are Tuesday through Friday, 7p-8a.

Pay:

$26.00 - $33.00 / hour + a competitive shift differential for the entire shift!

This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through our competency leveling system.

As a Veterinary Technician, you will:

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia in patients and use anesthesia/monitoring equipment.
• Triage emergency cases as they arrive at the hospital including obtaining vitals such as temperature heart rate, respiratory rate and blood pressure.
• Perform digital radiography using proper technique including proper positioning of patients.

• H ave a complete understanding of normal ranges of patient vital signs, including but not limited to heart and respiratory rate, temperature, blood pressure and oxygen saturation.
• Obtain and interpret blood pressure and other vital signs and alert Veterinarian to changes and issues.
• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.
• Properly calculate medical math (including constant rate infusions) and administer medications via appropriate routes and duration.
• Are proficient at performing phlebotomy and placing intravenous catheters in all peripheral vessels.

• Place and maintain feeding tubes and central line catheters.
• Have a passion for mentoring and training other co-workers.
• Have patience and empathy to address client concerns.
