Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Must have Medical Assistant certificate in good standing.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and spend long periods of time standing and walking.
• May be exposed to communicable diseases and hazardous materials.

Responsibilities

• Assess, implement and evaluate care to meet patient needs in ambulatory settings.
• Observe clinical condition, identify serious situations with RN staff, and initiate nursing interventions.
• Document chief complaints, vital signs, and pertinent information in EMR.
• Assist in collecting lab specimens, transport clients as needed, and perform treatments per policy.
