Job summary

Thrive Pet Healthcare is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) for relief across Washington hospitals. The role offers 3–5 shifts per week, 8–12 hours, across multiple locations.

You will support veterinarians, mentor staff, and help maintain medical records while providing compassionate client education. Compensation features a per-hour rate with potential for overnight shifts; the position emphasizes flexibility, variety, and contributing to a growing network of veterinary care

Qualifications

• Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) required.
• Emergency and specialty experience in addition to general practice.
• Possible overnight availability.
• Reliable transportation.
• Schedule flexibility.
• Availability for 3–5 shifts per week (8–12 hours).
• Experience with training and mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care and educate clients.
• Provide training and mentorship to team members.
• Maintain accurate medical records including health history.
• Prepare patients for discharge and communicate discharge instructions.
• Assist in general anesthesia and surgery/anesthetic procedures.
• Use fear-free handling and follow safety protocols.
• Perform in-patient and out-patient diagnostics and treatments as directed.
• Keep treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs clean and organized.
• Collaborate with team to support hospital operations.
