Job summary

Thrive Pet Healthcare is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to provide relief support across our Washington hospitals. This part-time role offers flexible scheduling with the ability to design your own work week, exposure to a wide range of cases across multiple WA locations, and the freedom to choose when and where you work.

You will support veterinarians, mentor teammates, maintain medical records, assist in anesthesia and surgery, and educate clients.

Qualifications

• Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) license required.
• Emergency and specialty experience preferred.
• Overnight availability possible; reliable transportation required.
• Flexible schedule; 3-5 shifts per week, shifts range 8–12 hours.
• Experience in training/mentorship beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians to ensure quality care and client education.
• Provide training and mentorship to team members.
• Maintain accurate medical records and health histories.
• Prepare patients for discharge and assist in paperwork and client communication.
• Assist in general anesthesia, surgery, and sedation procedures.
• Follow fear-free handling and safety protocols; keep treatment areas clean and organized.
• Collaborate with team to support both in-patient and out-patient services.
