Relief Cooks are temporary staff members that are responsible for preparing and cooking food for large groups of people according to specified menus and/or for individuals requiring special diets. The key responsibilities include:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Positions in this class typically require: crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, fumes, odors, dusts, gases, poor ventilation, chemicals, oils, and extreme temperatures.
Must pass a pre-employment physical.
