Formación

• Must possess credentials to function as a Dental Assistant per state requirements.
• Holds appropriate state certifications, such as Sealant certification.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification required.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and maintain instruments, equipment, and materials for dental procedures.
• Assist in four-handed dentistry and ensure patient comfort.
• Clean and sterilize all instruments used.

Conocimientos

Excellent communication skills

Ability to counsel patients

Experience with dental radiographs

Knowledge of evidence-based dentistry

Educación

High School Diploma or GED

Graduation from an ADA accredited dental assisting program

EFDA (Expanded Function Dental Assistant)
