Job summary

Sora Resource Group is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Assistant for a full-time role in Manchester, Connecticut. The successful candidate will ensure accurate, on-time movement of incoming materials and outgoing orders and work closely with warehouse teams.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 1–2 years in warehouse/shipping/logistics, basic computer skills, and the ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds. Forklift certification is a plus and not mandatory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years of warehouse, shipping, receiving, or logistics experience.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory or shipping software.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Forklift certification, or willingness to obtain it (a plus).

Responsibilities

• Receive UPS, FedEx, and LTL shipments; check goods for damage and verify quantities against purchase orders and packing slips.
• Pack, label, and stage outgoing orders accurately to meet daily shipping deadlines.
• Prepare shipping labels and bills of lading, and keep inventory and shipment records current in company systems.
• Coordinate with drivers, vendors, and sales colleagues to keep shipments moving on schedule.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe loading dock and storage area.
