Job summary

SGS North America Inc. is seeking a Reliability Support Engineer in Mountain View, CA to support hardware and software engineering teams, oversee lab operations, and advance automated testing, robotics, and data acquisition.

Starting compensation is based on experience with a stated range of $80,000–$90,000 per year. The role requires hands-on LabVIEW experience, proficiency in Python/C++, and the ability to manage lab infrastructure, safety, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience developing or operating LabVIEW applications for instrument control and data acquisition.
• Experience integrating, troubleshooting, or programming robotics and automation systems.
• Experience executing reliability, environmental, mechanical, and stress tests.

Responsibilities

• Set up, configure, and execute engineering test procedures and automated data collection pipelines.
• Develop, maintain, and execute automation routines and DAQ sequences using LabVIEW and Python/C++.
• Integrate and maintain robotic fixtures and test stations for repeatable life-cycle testing.
• Manage lab computer setups, drivers, firmware flashing, and network configurations for test instruments.
• Ensure lab spaces are organized, safe, and efficient for testing.
• Prepare reports, dashboards, and visualizations of test results and telemetry.
• Update SOPs, work instructions, and automation manuals.
