Job summary

Shaw Industries Group, Inc. seeks a Maintenance Tech C (2nd shift) to support reliable production by performing hands-on maintenance and basic troubleshooting on manufacturing equipment.

You will help minimize downtime, maintain product quality, and develop foundational skills in reliability practices within a team-oriented setting. The role emphasizes preventive and corrective maintenance, safety awareness, and collaboration with senior technicians to install, upgrade, and modify equipment

Qualifications

• Foundational experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and maintenance practices.
• Safety practices include LOTO, confined space, PPE, hot work, PIT, fall protection.
• Ability to read and interpret basic mechanical drawings.
• Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and basic measuring instruments.
• Experience with CMMS or basic computer systems to document work.
• Welding, machining, or fabrication skills are a plus.
• 1-2 years of maintenance experience preferred.
• Familiarity with predictive maintenance exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
• Maintain mechanical systems such as bearings, belts, chains, pulleys, shafts, motors, and gearboxes.
• Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications.
• Document issues, root causes, and corrective actions.
• Work with senior technicians and maintenance leads.
