Job summary

MPI seeks a Lead Reliability Engineer to drive reliability initiatives in a high-volume metals manufacturing environment. You will partner with production and maintenance to enhance equipment performance and reduce downtime, delivering capital projects and continuous improvements.

The role focuses on predictive and preventative maintenance, RCA, and cross-functional leadership to achieve operational excellence. Strong engineering background and hands-on floor presence are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of process engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Experience improving equipment reliability and maintenance programs.
• Knowledge of root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide process engineering support to production and maintenance teams.
• Lead initiatives to improve equipment reliability, uptime, and efficiency.
• Develop and implement predictive and preventative maintenance strategies.
• Drive root cause analysis and structured problem solving for recurring issues.
• Manage capital and expense projects from scope through execution.
• Coordinate engineering design, fabrication, installation, and commissioning.
• Support budgeting and forecasting for maintenance projects.
• Monitor reliability metrics and process performance indicators.
• Conduct FMEA and reliability-centered maintenance activities.
• Develop maintenance plans and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work with maintenance teams on predictive maintenance protocols.
• Lead cross-functional teams to reduce downtime and improve operations.
• Maintain SOPs and maintenance strategies, ensuring safety/compliance.
