Job summary

DSJ Global is seeking a Reliability Engineering Manager for a leading premium food manufacturer in San Leandro, CA. You will lead reliability strategy across the site, partner with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering to boost equipment uptime and optimize maintenance programs.

You will drive RCA, FMEA, TPM, asset management, and capital projects while leading cross-functional teams. A strong background in high-speed production and analytics is required, with CRE/CMRP preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a mechanical/electrical/industrial engineering field.
• Minimum 7+ years in reliability/maintenance engineering or asset management within manufacturing.
• Proven track record delivering uptime improvements, cost reductions, and reliability initiatives.
• Experience with CMMS, RCA, FMEA, TPM, asset management, and capital project activities.
• Experience in high-speed manufacturing; food/bev/CPG preferred; CRE/CMRP certification a plus; unionized environments a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead site reliability strategy and reliability improvement programs.
• Develop and enhance preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Drive RCA, FMEA, and reliability-centered maintenance initiatives.
• Establish and improve MTBF, MTTR, downtime, and maintenance costs metrics.
• Lead equipment reliability projects, asset management strategies, and capital planning.
• Support annual shutdown planning and major maintenance events.
• Collaborate with OEMs, engineering, and vendors to reduce recurring failures.
• Promote advanced analytics, condition monitoring, and digital reliability tools.
• Optimize spare parts inventory and critical asset management programs.
• Present reliability performance and cost-savings to senior leadership.
• Mentor maintenance technicians and engineers on reliability best practices.
• Support TPM and continuous improvement across the facility.
• Lead cross-functional teams focused on operational excellence.

A leading premium food manufacturer is seeking a Reliability Engineering Manager to lead reliability strategy, asset management, and maintenance improvement initiatives across a complex manufacturing operation.

This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an engineering professional passionate about equipment reliability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. The Reliability Engineering Manager will partner closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Leadership teams to improve equipment uptime, reduce downtime, optimize maintenance programs, and support long-term capital planning efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead site reliability strategy and reliability improvement programs

• Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and reliability-centered maintenance initiatives

• Support annual shutdown planning and major maintenance events

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
• 7+ years of reliability engineering, maintenance engineering, or asset management experience within manufacturing
• Proven success driving uptime improvements, cost reductions, and reliability initiatives
• Strong experience with:
