Responsibilities

• Direct daily work assignments and provide on-the-spot technical instruction to mechanics and technicians.
• Oversee scheduling, coordinate coverage, and handle performance evaluations.
• Build capability through training and skill development plans.
• Champion safety practices and ensure adherence to OSHA standards, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and PPE policies.
• Run the shop and keep assets online from work order to closeout.
• Strengthen and enforce a Preventive Maintenance (PM) program.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and direct repairs for processing equipment and facility systems across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic disciplines.
• Control costs and manage parts; track spare parts, manage suppliers and contractors, and negotiate pricing for materials, services, and repairs.
• Maintain logs and KPIs on equipment reliability, maintenance costs, and repair turnaround times.
