Avantor is seeking a dedicated Reliability & Maintenance Mechanic to optimize our NuSil team at the Irving, TX facility. You will apply multi-trade maintenance skills to support complex process equipment and facilities systems.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of relevant mechanical experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training. This full-time, first shift role offers hands-on growth in a global science company.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years relevant mechanical experience.
• Completion of a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications.
• Set up and operate all tools and equipment necessary to perform work assigned.
• Repair or replace defective parts and install functional components.
• Inspect and troubleshoot mechanical devices, lubricate and clean parts, and test performance.
• May operate drill presses, grinders, and other metalworking tools to make or repair parts.
• May initiate purchase orders for parts and machines at times.
