Job summary

Boulevard Brewing Company is seeking a Maintenance & Engineering Manager to move our facility from reactive maintenance to world-class reliability. You will lead a skilled team, develop proactive PM programs, and partner with Operations to improve equipment performance and uptime.

You will oversee mechanical, electrical, PLC/automation systems, and critical utilities, while coordinating capital projects and contractor management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 7+ years in manufacturing engineering, maintenance, or reliability.
• 3+ years managing technicians or technical teams.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting on automated equipment.
• Proven success building PM programs and managing outside contractors.

Responsibilities

• Build a Proactive Culture: shift operations from breakdown response to predictive maintenance.
• Root-Cause Focus: track downtime and address root causes.
• Data-Driven Decisions: use PM compliance and maintenance cost metrics to improve efficiency.
• Develop Techs: recruit, mentor, and cross-train technicians.
• Partner with Operations: work with Production, Packaging, Quality, Safety, Finance.
• Crisis Leadership: lead during outages with calm, decisive actions.
• Oversee utility systems: refrigeration, boilers, compressed air, CIP, process equipment.
• Manage capital projects: assist with design, contractor management, installation.
• Ensure safety, budget, and ROI justification for investments.
