Job summary

Alliant Energy is seeking a Lead Maintenance and Reliability Specialist to maximize the reliability and efficiency of generating assets. You will lead predictive and preventive maintenance programs, perform asset reliability studies, and mentor the maintenance team to ensure safe, effective operation of equipment.

The role requires deep technical knowledge of large rotating equipment, experience in reliability engineering, and strong collaboration with engineering and operations staff.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Advanced knowledge of maintenance strategies including predictive and reliability-centered maintenance.
• Experience with generating equipment such as turbines, generators, boilers, fans, pumps, and large motors.

Responsibilities

• Identifies, plans, and implements predictive and preventive maintenance programs with inspection plans.
• Prepares cost estimates for equipment repair or system improvements and reviews equipment standards.
• Leads reliability improvement programs and analyzes complex asset data to propose design changes for future projects.
• Provides technical support and guidance to maintenance and reliability staff; mentors teammates.
