Job summary

Suominen is seeking a Reliability Engineer for our Bethune, SC facility to maximize equipment reliability, availability, and manufacturing performance. You will lead RCM, PM and PdM programs, analyze data, and collaborate across Production, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and EHS teams.

The role emphasizes data-driven decisions, capital project support, and driving continuous improvement to reduce losses and extend asset life.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of Reliability or Maintenance Engineering experience in a continuous manufacturing environment.
• Excellent analytical and structured problem-solving skills.
• A collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence teams across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the site's Reliability Strategy.
• Lead Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Preventive Maintenance (PM), Predictive Maintenance (PdM), FMEA and Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA).
• Improve equipment uptime by reducing chronic failures and optimizing maintenance practices.
• Support capital projects, equipment upgrades, commissioning, and restoration initiatives.
• Analyze equipment performance data to identify opportunities that improve reliability, safety, productivity and manufacturing costs.
• Partner closely with Production, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and EHS teams.
• Coach maintenance teams on precision maintenance and reliability best practices.
• Help shape the future of our manufacturing operation through continuous improvement initiatives.

We\'re Looking For Someone Who Has

• Bachelor\'s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering or a related field


• 5+ years of Reliability or Maintenance Engineering experience in a continuous manufacturing environment


• Excellent analytical and structured problem-solving skills
