Job summary

Sofidel S.p.A. is seeking a Mechanical Technician to support maintenance and repair activities across plant equipment. You will work from sketches and drawings, perform diagnostics, and implement mechanical adjustments to keep operations safe and efficient.

The role requires strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, plus experience welding and machining. Excellent communication and documentation skills are essential in a fast-paced production setting.

Qualifications

• Associate degree/technical training or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum of five (5) years in a related field preferred.
• Strong communication, analytical, documentation and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Enter work orders into computer systems and monitor stock of parts.
• Perform upkeep and repairs on mechanical and physical structures from sketches and drawings.
• Prioritize planned equipment shutdowns via preventive maintenance and diagnostics.
• Evaluate procedures and assess suitability of engineering equipment.
• Identify problems in mechanical equipment and propose improvements.
• Collaborate with team members to resolve issues and implement adjustments.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors to improve output while maintaining safety.
• Support operations to meet schedules and quality requirements; inform management of material needs.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment following safety protocols.
